The Dyslexic Edge with Jamie Waller

Flipping the narrative the Dyslexic strength's that you didn't know about.

Today didn't quite go as planned. I usually start my day with a prayer for focus, but I was feeling so overwhelmed that I ended up curled up on the sofa, just trying to regroup and figure out my next steps. Life's throwing a lot my way right now.

One thing that's been adding to the chaos is this book I'm reading, "The Dyslexic Edge." It's all about how dyslexia isn't a weakness, but can actually be a strength. The book dives into the stories of successful dyslexics, from entrepreneurs to artists, and how their brains work differently.

It's fascinating stuff, but I've been so engrossed that it's completely thrown off my schedule!

I've realized I need to slow down and take things one step at a time. Instead of trying to cram in tons of reading, I'm going to focus on making small, consistent progress.

So, I took a break from the book and tidied up the kitchen and living room. I want my partner and child to wake up to a clean and peaceful space. That way, we can have more quality time together. After that, I prepped breakfast – a good meal is the foundation of a good day, right? And now, it's time for my chanting practice. It helps me centre myself and get ready to tackle whatever the day brings.
